Hope Stories | A New Project

saskatoon photographer, hope stories

Dear heart,

I’ve strayed from you.  I’ve sought to create images that were contrived, and perfected, but all you wanted was TRUTH and HONESTY.  All you wanted were the raw, honest pieces of these stories painted with light and hope.  The unkept, and unmade, illuminated by Light.  You longed to capture stories that were broken but full of hope.  You sought after those glimmers of Light in the heart-aching waves of life’s storms, and longed to capture the sun rising after a long hard night.  You’ve been looking for truth, for something deeper than “put together”.  You’ve desired to see people in the middle of their storm, reaching for the goodness that lies within every broken, aching moment.  You’ve simply wanted to find the Light illuminating painful memories, and causing hope to rise.

So here I am, I’m with you, and I’m ready to create with you again.  I’m ready to see the honest, dark places, illuminated with Light.  I’m ready to let grace into the messy and broken.  I’m ready to invite Love to conquer fear, and surrender to the joy that lies within Love’s arms.  I’m ready to find hope in broken places, and to pursue the raw journey of finding ourselves held in the midst of hardship.  For we are over-comers, and even in the darkest nights, overwhelming victory is ours, because of Love who redeems all things.

It’s time.  It’s time to wade into the waters, deep and full of pain, and invite Light to come illuminate the dark, giving way for hope to rise.

“Hope Stories” is a new project I’m starting, and my desire is to capture and share honest stories — ones that are not void of pain, but are full of light and hope, and could inspire hope and healing for others. If you know someone who has a story of hope, send me an email! My hope is to cover 1 Hope Story every 3 months to start out. It’ll work by allowing you to nominate a family who has a story that’s worth being told. The family chosen will get a complimentary session with me, including a blogpost with their (approved by them) story, and 10 high res digital images, with the option of purchasing all the high resolution digital files or purchasing prints from their online viewing gallery.

In addition, I’m going to be offering Hope Story Sessions for purchase either as a gift, or by a family wanting to capture their own hope story. These sessions will be $350 for a session only (digital files or prints can be purchased afterward from your online viewing gallery), or $495 for a session including 50+ high resolution digital files.

For more info or to nominate a family, send me an email!!

Looking forward to hearing from you!
