This was a remarkable, beautiful day. We witnessed a love so genuine and tremendous. It literally took our breaths away. The love was not only overwhelmingly obvious between these two as they gave their forever's to each other, but was also so beautifully obvious between them and their family and friends. We were truly honoured to capture such honest, heart-felt moments.
The ceremony was put together with such significance and intention. It was simple and beautiful. They included parts of her native heritage and fittingly held it all at Wanuskewin Heritage Museum. There was joy, there was laughter and there were tears. I think everyone in the room was moved by their tremendous love.
These are people who love with their whole being and without judgement. They don't choose favourites and simply give love to those who seem esteem-able and worthy, but also to those who no one else will love. They are some of the most genuine and kind-hearted people I have ever met. Sylvie is also my (tamarah) husband's cousin, so I've seen first hand how she pours her love out without hesitation.
Love is courageous - it's often the most courageous thing we can do. And only within the deep waters of love can we truly mend all that is broken and make it whole again, only through love can we keep finding victory and joy in every corner. Love is bravery.
Thank you Sylvie + Dennis for the honour of capturing your beautiful love. We were truly impacted that day. We wish you all the best in the years to come. Your love is powerful, not just for each other, but how you love others. Don't ever stop loving.
